Pitas was founded by Leon Khoury, Jr., Paul Raad & Ahmad Jabali in the Spring of 2007. Ahamad Jabali, owner of the Mediterranean Tea Room, was having hard time finding a good and fresh pita bread source for his restaurant. Both Leon & Paul have a true affection toward Mediterranean cuisine in general and fresh grandmother style pita bread in particular. They each were considering ways of establishing a Pita Bread bakery in South Carolina. This is how it all started!  What’s better than hot fresh pita bread dipped with a homemade hummus? Or Baba ganouj? Or nicely seasoned pita bread chip consumed with a crisp Greek salad? Olives and Olive oil, Feta Cheese and Romaine lettuce, Tomato and cucumber; these are words that go together well….. A Pita bread Bakery and a Restaurant are born!
